Denmark again.
The cold hit me from the moment I stepped out of the airplane.

Dave, Johannes and I arrived in Copenhagen after 33 hours of
travelling. We left Merida, Mexico, Sunday 11 AM, and arrived in Copenhagen
Monday 8 PM.

I learned a lot
from my trip to Mexico. I saw the best players in the world. I noticed what
they do well, and I’m trying to add that to my game.

I saw Chichen
Itza (Mayan pyramids), and had a lot of fun with my team. So all in all… this
has been a successful trip for me.

I will not play
any ITF’s for the next couple of weeks, so now I have to practice. A lot!

Generally, when I don’t play tournaments, I do physical exercises about
1,5 hours per day, and play tennis at least 2,5 hours every day, except Sunday,
which is my rest day.

I am going to
play junior GPS championship this week. I play the first match Friday, and the second
and third match Saturday. If I win the matches I will play semi-final and
hopefully also final Sunday.

Merida ITF grade 1

Følg med i mit liv Posted on Wed, December 03, 2014 20:13:05

After Mexico City
we went to Merida at the Yucatan peninsula to play another ITF (grade 1).

I won the
qualification, but lost a close first round match in the main draw 4/6 6/4 6/2
to Joel Cannel who made it to the quarterfinal. I played with Nam in the
doubles and we won the first match, but lost the second.

Joe and I lived
with a nice family and the other guys stayed at a hotel.

Here is what 2 of
our days were like.

Today, we, Joe
and I, woke up to yet another day at this great place. We only had to play
doubles today, so we could sleep for as long as we wanted to. Nice.

We chilled during
the morning, and did a good hour of physical exercise in the afternoon. After
the workout, Joe and I had a deadly table tennis match. The winner got to push
the loser in the cold swimming pool. I lost…

Nam and I won the
double 6/2 6/1 against two Mexicans.

I have seen the
1# in the world, Andrey Rublev play a couple times this week. He plays very
aggressive and misses a lot, but what I noticed is that after he does an
unforced error, he rarely does another one on the next point. I like that, and
will try to work it into my own game.

Today I played
lots of tennis. First I played a practice set with a Brazilian guy. I lost 6/0.
I think I was trying so hard to win that I got tense and couldn’t play well.

An hour later a played another practice match against an Egyptian boy and
I played some of the best tennis in my life. This time I didn’t really care
about the result. I just focused on my game.

Nam and I lost
the double 6 /4 6/3. It was a close match and few points decided the outcome.
Tough match…
